Håntverkerij

The studio

Not a parlour. A working studio.

We began in Arnhem and moved to Utrecht's Werkspoorkwartier in 2019 — a former industrial harbour district finding a second life in making and design. The room is light, calm and spacious, closer to an illustrator's atelier than a tattoo shop.

The ethos

Half our time is spent drawing.

The studio runs as much on illustration and design as it does on tattooing. That's deliberate — it's what keeps the work authored and specific instead of pulled from a flash wall. When you book, you're commissioning a drawing that happens to live on skin.

There's no phone line and no walk-in door, and that's the point: every session is planned, drawn and set aside in advance so the room stays unhurried.

Before you come in

  • One guest maximum — the studio stays calm and focused.
  • Arrive rested, fed and hydrated. No alcohol or drugs beforehand.
  • Bring food and drink for longer sessions.
  • Under-16s are discouraged; talk to us first.

Aftercare, briefly

Keep it clean with a mild antibacterial soap and a thin layer of pure coconut oil for two weeks. No swimming, sauna, sunbed or direct sun for six weeks. Your artist walks you through the full routine in person.

Good to mention

Tell us in advance about pregnancy, breastfeeding, current antibiotics, ink or metal allergies, or blood-clotting issues. We don't tattoo over moles, fresh scars or cuts — we'll happily plan around them.

Appointment-only
